Dear valued members with the beginning of the month only a few days away I would advise you all to cancel your standing orders. We really hope it won’t be too long before we open and we will be able to welcome you back. It is a very difficult and uncertain time for everyone, thank you to all of you that have sent messages of support.
The ponies of course are unaware of the chaos in the world and are all enjoying a holiday in the field. The weather has been perfect not too hot,and no flies or rain. In the next few days I will post a little competition on our Facebook page, it’s just for fun and I hope all our members will join in. Stay safe and take care. Sarah and Dickon
Following the Prime Ministers order this evening and a statement from the ABRS (approved British riding schools) and BEF ( British Equestrian Federation ) we will be closed until further notice. We shall seek clarification on Monday . Until then we do hope you stay safe and shall post any updates on the website.
In the current situation all riding lessons will continue but club will be suspended. All silver and gold members will still be able to attend their lessons. Gold members will be given a voucher in lieu of missed club time. We may have to change some of the lessons times and will send all members with a change of lesson time a message to confirm their new time before 5pm on 19th March. Please message if this is not convenient or you do not receive a message from us.
We would ask all riders to go straight to the arena via the top gate rather than the office/tack room.
There will be no boot or hat hire . There will be no beginners class lead rein lessons, but we will offer private lead rein lessons which you will be able to book online. Any members on the lead can still ride in class lessons but your lesson time may be changed.
All fun days and show days are cancelled and we will make refunds before the end of this week. We will put on extra lessons...
A Merry Christmas to all our lovely members and clients. Charlotte and Zoe had a great day of festive fun with the kids and ponies on our Christmas Fun Day.
There are some fab pictures of all the kids and ponies getting festive but this one of Rene is my favourite.

With the summer over and the winter setting in we have lots to look forward to and some great summer memories. Here are a few of our favourite photos from this Summer. Apologies if your son daughter is not on any of them I have posted as many as the page will allow.
Points Show Winners
Huge congratulations to our points show winners. These young ladies have gained the most points competing over the summer at our monthly points shows. The competition this year has been incredibly strong and only a few points separate not only the placings on the day of the shows but the the points champions.
Katie Blackwell (over 12's)
Amelia Webb (over 8's)
Lily Austin (under 8's)
Success for Rolo and Hubert
Many of you stroke and chat to Rolo, Hubert and Ovie but don't often see them being ridden so I thought it would be nice to let you know how they have been doing.
Hubert is only 4 and has had a fantastic start to his ridden career. He was placed at Gatcombe Horse Trials Young Event Horse class...

July Show day Photos
Well done to Isabelle Blockley who took Supreme Champion at our July Show, with Millie Barr heading the under 12 section. Only fractions of marks separated many of our under 12 riders.

With summer fast approaching I am sure you are all making plans for the summer holidays. My best childhood memories were my days spent at the stables with my pony and friends. From the age of 10 I would cycle to my pony at the crack of dawn and stay there until early evening. Unfortunately things have changed slightly and I for one wouldn't be happy letting my boys cycle along a main road at the age of 10. My parents being non horsey were also oblivious to the fact that riding and messing about with ponies is potentially dangerous. I obviously survived though and wouldn't have wanted it any other way. I do want the children that ride with us to have the same experiences and our holiday club and loaning a pony is a great way for kids to spend time at the stables and keep safe. Our ponies don't often become available for loan but shortly we will have two ponies available. Loaners can attend on a Thurs, Fri and Sun and supervision will be available on these three d...
A huge thank you to all out members and friends who donated presents for the Santa's Grotto. Also thank you to all our members who came in to help and join in the festive fun. Some of you may have seen our Facebook post about the wonderful man Steve Sullivan, who Zoe and I met in B&Q. We had gone in to get MDF to make candy sticks for the grotto, we were struggling loading the huge sheet of wood into the horse box when a kind man asked if we needed any help. To cut a long story short when we got chatting to him it turned out his daughter went to Derian House and he ended up making the candy sticks in B&Q car park. It was a magical experience and Zoe and I felt like we were part of a feel good Christmas movie. We also must say thank you to Lorraine Blockley who made the most amazing cakes, to Carver's Christmas trees (turn opposite carpark to Cuerden Park off Lancaster Lane) for fabulous Christmas trees. To my good friends Fred and Carmen, think you may guess what part they played! Also...
