Following an announcement from Sports England today we will be reopening from next week.
In line with the guidelines published today by Sports England we will be offering private lessons or shared lessons for two people, provided they belong to the same household.
We are awaiting full guidance but shall have all the necessary procedures in place to do everything we can to keep everyone safe. Full details of procedures and safe practices will be available at the time of booking.
Hat and boot hire will not be available for individual lessons but they can be hired out and taken home for the duration of the pandemic.
All bookings are to be made online via our website. As the announcement was only made today we will need a few days to update our booking system so please do not attempt to book any lessons until Friday 15th May. We shall allow a five minute change over time to allow for disinfecting of tack and to keep the number of customers on site at any one time to a minimum.
Unfortunately we cannot offer lead rein lessons/beginner lessons or lessons for children 6yrs or younger as it is not possible to teach these lessons and maintain social distancing. To clarify, as a minimum standard riders must be capable of riding independently in walk and trot. We can also only offer flat lessons as jumping lessons are considered to pose a greater risk of injury.
Financially this has been a very testing time and unfortunately to cover our running costs, we have had no option but to increase the price of lessons. A 1/2 hr individual private lesson will cost £40, a shared lesson for two members of the same household will be £35. These prices are the same for an adult or child.
Whilst there is a possibility that the government may reintroduce restrictions we shall not be offering membership packages. We will keep this situation under review and as lockdown eases further, hopefully, we will be able to reintroduce memberships and Saturday club.
We really appreciate everyones support and understanding through these uncertain times and hope we can all start to enjoy the ponies whilst staying safe,
Looking forward to welcoming you back to Club Equestrian.
