What a Fantastic Show Day! Congratulations to Kirsty Walker and Saffy our Supreme Champions

It was perfect weather for our 2nd points show and we had a fabulous day. The horses were foot perfect and all beautifully turned out by their very smart riders, what a fabulous effort everyone made . It was also rewarding to see a noticeable improvement in all our riders, so credit must go to our dedicated instructors Paul Heapy and Dickon.

It was wonderful to see Roisin, Amber and Hollie enjoying their first show and also our adult riders participating in the fun.

Competition to win the Supreme Championship was fierce with Lucy and Patch, Kirtsy and Saffy and Jasmine and Duke and Caitlyn all in contention, each taking 1st or 2nds in more than one class. Jasmine and Aimee leigh smashed the Handy Pony Class in their age groups with Holly winning the under 6 class at her very first show.

Roisin who rode beautifully in the under 6 category won the Equitation but it was Ambers consistent performance over all three classes that won the under 6 Championship.

Caitlyn who was immaculately turned out performed well in all three classes to take the under 11 Championship. Sophie however was snapping at her heels and for me stood out in the Equitation class with her exceptional position and beautiful transitions. Faye who hasn't been riding as long as her friends is this age group also impressed and shows great potential. Rebecca who is a keen participator took lower places in all of the classes and deserves praise for her lovely quiet way with the ponies. Aimee leigh showed tremendous improvement and I am sure made Keira's owner Kerry very proud.

We were really impressed with all the riders in the 12 and over class and it was difficult to separate the riders in equitation, turn out and jumping classes but Kirsty came out top by a whisker. A mention must go to Shyla who showed great natural horsemanship and was one of the first to arrive to get the ponies ready in the morning. A mention also to Elise who is such a beautiful quiet rider and well done also to the ever popular and smiley Kirstie who also rode beautifully but just didn't quite make the top few places this time.

A big that you to Vicky and Caron for all their help.
