It was another great day for the show and we were pleased to welcome our judge Carmen and her assistant Crumb! Who joined in the celebrations by barking very loudly.

The ponies all looked amazing, yet again! As always it was wonderful to see everyone making such an effort. It is so difficult for the judge when everyone has obviously tried so hard and very little separated the winners from the rest.

It was so rewarding  to see all our members  had improved from the last show, especially in the jumping. All of four older riders put in some lovely rounds and only half a mark separated Kirsty and Lucy, if Shyla hadn't had a stop at the first fence she would also have scored very highly, as she demonstrated a lovely position and good balance. Kaitlyn also really impressed  the judge with  a super round on our wonderful new pony. On the poles on the floor a copy book round from Sophie secured a win.

The handy pony is always great fun to watch and highly competitive. With lots of running from the riders this week and some ponies very reluctant to be led things were mixed up from the previous competition. Kaitlyn had an amazing time of 131.5 secs but it was Lucy, who even with a 10 second penalty came home with the quickest time of the day , a blistering 128 seconds ...nearly twice as fast as Dickon's time!

Stand out performances by Sophie and Lucy secured wins from them in the equitation, but again it was extremely  close, with just half a point separating Sophie from Kaitlin and 1/2 a point separating Lucy from Jasmine, with Lily, Elise and Kirsty just half a point behind them.

The judge was particularly impressed with the horsemanship of Kirsty on Duke and insisted on her receiving a special prize. Faye also impressed as a true natural horsewoman , always kind and sympathetic to our lovely old girl Rosie.

Another highlight of the day for me was Aimee Leigh having her first canter and what a splendid first canter! Katie who was riding in her first show also impressed and had a very successful show from her first attempt taking 2nd in the poles on the floor. Abigail also at her first show did exceptionally well gaining a handful of rosettes.

Our final points show is the last day of camp when we shall welcome another outside judge.
