We have had a fabulous Summer!

October 22, 2019

With the summer over and the winter setting in we have lots to look forward to and some great summer memories. Here are a few of our favourite photos from this Summer. Apologies if your son daughter is not on any of them I have posted as many as the page will allow.

Points Show Winners

Huge congratulations to our points show winners. These young ladies have gained the most points competing over the summer at our monthly points shows. The competition this year has been incredibly strong and only a few points separate not only the placings on the day of the shows but the the points champions.

Success for Rolo and Hubert

Many of you stroke and chat to Rolo, Hubert and Ovie but don't often see them being ridden so I thought it would be nice to let you know how they have been doing.

Hubert is only 4 and has had a fantastic start to his ridden career. He was placed at Gatcombe Horse Trials Young Event Horse class in his first ever competition. He then jumped clear every day at the Bolesworth Young Horse Championship, having the last fence in the final. We are very excited about his future but for now he is enjoying a well earned break.

Rolo has also had a very good season. He Qualified for the Burghley Young Event Horse final after finishing 3rd at Bramham, he also finished in the top 10 at Gatcombe. He has jumped some super rounds this summer and although not the easiest ride Ben has done a brilliant job and his patience and hard work is paying off.

Ovie despite being the tallest horse (he is 17.1hds and still growing!)on the yard, he is at the age of 3 also the youngest. He was a very straightforward to break and really is the kindest, sweetest horse. He will not be ridden over the winter to give him time to mature, ready for the young horse classes in the Spring.

A very sad farewell

Many of you will have also stroked Maisey and Tonka over the years. Sadly we lost both of them this summer to old age. Tonka was 15 and Maisey (his Mum ) was 18. Whilst Maisey couldn't make it over to the stable yard over the summer many of you will remember her from her more spritely days and most of you will know Tonka. They were simply the most perfect, adorable, kind and loyal members of our family and we miss them every day.
